How to Install a RAID Controller into a Dell Server

The RAID controller is in charge of the hard disk drive (HDD) or solid-state drive (SSD), making it an important component in your CPU. Inserting your RAID controller correctly is essential so as not to damage any equipment. This guide will talk you through installing your RAID controller into a Dell Server.
In this video we will demonstrate how to Insert your RAID controller into your Dell server, using the Dell PE620 as an example. This process can be repeated on most Dell servers. Dell server RAID insert:

Before you start, make sure to power down your server.

Locate the RAID card and gently push down to fix in place. Be sure to take care with this as the blue clips can be delicate and you don’t want to damage the equipment when installing.

Insert the SAS cable into the ports on the system board to complete installation.
