High-Capacity Storage with Hot Swap Support

The DL380 Gen9 supports a wide range of storage configurations, including SAS, SATA, SAS SSD, and NVMe PCIe SSDs. Depending on the chassis, it can handle up to 397.8TB in SFF (2.5") models or 180TB in LFF (3.5") models. Hot-swappable drive bays allow for seamless upgrades and replacements without powering down the system, helping to minimise downtime.

Advanced RAID Options

Entry-level models include the embedded HPE Dynamic Smart Array B140i Controller, supporting RAID 0, 1, 1+0, and 5. For enhanced performance and redundancy, upgrade options include the P440ar/2G, P840/4G, and P840/2G RAID controllers, offering flexible and reliable data protection.

Intel Xeon E5 Processor Technology

The DL380 Gen9 supports a wide range of Intel Xeon E5-2600 v3 and v4 CPUs, with up to 22 cores and 45MB cache per processor. Intel Virtualisation Technology enables efficient resource partitioning, while Hyper-Threading boosts throughput by better utilising idle CPU resources. Energy-Efficient DDR4 SmartMemory

With support for up to 3TB of LRDIMM or 768GB of RDIMM, the DL380 Gen9 leverages DDR4 HPE SmartMemory to deliver 50% more bandwidth and 40% greater energy efficiency than DDR3. Advanced ECC protection ensures data integrity, while SmartMemory validation guarantees compatibility and performance.
