    The Intel Core i3-3240 is a desktop processor with 2 cores and features Intel Hyper-Threading, which effectively doubles the core-count to 4 threads. The Core i3-3240 processor has 3MB of L3 cache and operates at 3.4 GHz with a locked multiplier to limit overclocking capabilities and supports DDR3 memory with a dual-channel interface. The Core i3-3240 consumes typical power levels for a modern PC and has a Thermal Design Power of 55 W. Featuring the Intel HD 2500 integrated graphics solution, the Core i3-3240 enables hardware virtualisation which vastly improves virtual machine performance. Programs that utilise Advanced Vector Extensions (AVX) will run on this processor, boosting performance for any calculation-heavy application.
