    The HP 2000sa G2 Modular Smart Array is a 3 Gb SAS direct attach, external shared storage solution designed to help customers easily transition from direct attached to centralized storage. It is ideal for departmental and small to medium businesses, offering a range of features and capabilities to meet various storage needs.

    Flexible Configuration Options for Maximum Scalability

    The MSA2000sa G2 allows for easy management and highly affordable storage consolidation. It offers a choice of drives, including high performance enterprise-class SAS drives and low cost, high capacity archival-class SAS MDL or SATA MDL drives. With 12 or 24 drive bays, the MSA2000sa G2 can accommodate both 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch dual-ported SAS and SATA drives. Customers can choose between single and dual controller configurations, balancing performance with cost by opting for lower cost SAS MDL or SATA drives for archival areas.

    Additionally, the MSA2000sa G2 allows for easy scalability, with the ability to support up to 36 TB SAS or 120 TB SAS MDL or SATA MDL, and up to 64 hosts for iSCSI. It can also support up to 4 LFF drive enclosures and 60 drives, or 3 SFF drive enclosures and a maximum of 99 drives. With 511 LUNs, the MSA2000sa G2 offers plenty of storage configuration flexibility.

    Comprehensive Data Protection for Peace of Mind

    The MSA2000sa G2 offers comprehensive data protection in an easily administered shared storage environment. It supports RAID 0, 1, 3, 5, 6, 10, and 50, with redundant hardware and automatic failover to minimize downtime. The optional HP MSA2000 Snapshot Software provides controller-based Snapshot and cloning functionality for increased data protection, without using host resources. Additionally, the array unit itself only occupies 2U of rack space and includes 12-drive bays, making it a space-efficient solution.
