Sustainability Case Studies

Techbuyer works with a variety of charities, community partnerships and research organizations in order to support great causes and further the circular economy. Find out more about some of these projects and partnerships below.

Providing Access to Digital Progams for Autistic Support Learning - Nebinger Elementary School

Nebinger Elementary School in Philadelphia provides dedicated teaching for children with autism, many of whom come from low-income backgrounds. Having come across an appeal to provide one of Nebinger’s classes with the tools they needed to access to digital learning programs, Techbuyer donated 10 Chromebooks that would enhance the children’s learning experiences.

Providing a Digital Education – IT Schools Africa

IT Schools Africa has provided over 5 million children with access to a digital education so far. They also help adults to become more confident with technology. Techbuyer donates a range of IT equipment which is not part of our core inventory such as laptops, mice and PCs in order to help the charity on their mission

Spreading awareness of quality remanufacturing: the Remanufacturing Industries Council (RIC)

IT remanufacturing differs from mechanical remanufacturing in that IT does not degrade over time. This means that remanufactured IT performs as well or better than the new when configured correctly. Around 10% of Techbuyer’s business (reconfigured machines) qualify as remanufactured goods according to the American National Standards Institute definition. To spread the word about the benefits of remanufacturing and tackle any barriers, we joined the RIC.
