System x3650 M4 server
The System x3650 M4 server features Intel Xeon multicore processors that support internal processing speeds of up to 3.5 GHz1, and processing operations to memory up to 1866 MHz.
High-performance server subsystems
By introducing more powerful processors, the System x3650 M4 server extends the capabilities of the new server line. When you add RAM and a second processor, this high-throughput, two-way multicore network server offers exceptional performance and scalability. With revolutionary Hyper Threading and IntelTM Turbo Boost Technology 2.0, it has up to two 8.0 GT/s QuickPath interconnect (QPI) links and up to 30 MB of cache. Powerful Xeon CPUs with up to 30 MB L3 cache are used in it. The processor's integrated enhanced transfer L3 cache operates at the same clock rate as the processor. Because of a "backside bus" that is 256 bits wide, the advanced transfer cache is produced. It features a quad-wide cache line that can transfer four 64-bit cache line segments at one time to deliver full-speed capability. The cache is eight-way set associative.
Increased throughput
The system board comes with two standard Intel Xeon processor connectors to enable the addition of an additional processor. PC3 DDR3 Advanced Memory Feature @ High Speed. The processor-to-memory subsystem performance of DIMMs is up to 12800 Mbps bandwidth and up to 1866 MHz DRAM clock speed. The Intel E5-2600 v2 processor with Chipkill technology is used in the x3650 M4 server to increase throughput from processors to memory to the 32-bit and 64-bit PCI buses.
