HP ProLiant DL360p Gen8 servers come with an integrated HP Smart Array P420i/ZM storage controller supporting 0/1/1+0 RAID levels. Upgrading the storage controller to the base model P420i/1GB with Flash-Based Write Cache (FBWC), high performance model P420i/2GB with FBWC or entry star model P420i/1GB FBWC enables the support of 0/1/1+0/5/5+0/6/6+0 RAID levels. Depending on the model, the DL360p Gen8 supports 8 or 10x 2.5 inch SFF hot swap SATA, SAS or SSD drives for up to 20TB of capacity. When it comes to the LFF models, this server supports 4x 3.5inch hot swap SATA, SAS or SSD drives with up to 32TB. High capacity and cost-effective storage options support big data workloads and analytics by enabling data to be processed faster.

The HP ProLiant DL360p Gen8 server supports up to two E5-2600 v2 or E5-2600 processors for up to 12 cores and 30MB of cache. The refurbished HP DL360p Gen8 supports a total of 24 DIMMs with 12 memory slots per processors providing support for either 768GB of LRDIMM (24 x 32GB at 1066 MHz), 384GB of RDIMM (24 x 16GB at 1333 MHz), 128GB of UDIMM (16 x 8GB at 1333 MHz) or 384GB of HDIMM (24 x 16GB at 1333 MHz). Engineered to deliver the highest power supply efficiency without lowering performance

The HP ProLiant DL360p Gen8 server weighs about 45lbs, is 1.7 inches tall, 17.1 inches wide and 27.5inches deep with SFF drives and 29.5inches deep with LFF drives. On the front of the DL360p are your hard drives, optical drives, two USB connections and a VGA port. The back of the server features optional dual or quad-port LANs, another VGA port, serial port, an iLO management connector, four USB ports and power supplies. There are three different power options including 460W, 750W or 1200W hot swap power supplies. HP's Common Slot power supplies are engineered to deliver the highest power supply efficiency without lowering system performance.

Flexible Network Technology was introduced with the HP ProLiant Gen8 servers offering the choice of 1 Gigabit and/or 10 Gigabit networking solutions. Operating Systems and Virtualisation software supported on the DL360p Gen8 server includes Microsoft Windows Server, Canonical Ubuntu, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES), Oracle Linux, VMware and Citrix XenServer.
