Removing RAM from a Dell Server
Removing equipment safely and efficiently from your server is a must to prevent against damage to any component in your IT system. Removing memory can be a simple task, however for those unfamiliar with the workings of a server it can look complicated. We've created a short guide and video to demonstrate exactly what needs to be done to remove memory from a Dell server.
 
In this video we talk you through removing memory from your Dell server, using the PER620 as an example.

Memory Removal:

  • Before you start, power down the server to protect both yourself and your equipment.
  • Open the clips on either side of the memory slot.
  • Gently lift out of the memory slot.
  • Replace the clips on either side
