    This 16GB Samsung server memory kit comprises two dual rank 8GB PC2-5300 memory modules, each running at a speed of 667MHz and with a 5333MB/s bandwidth, is a great way to give your server a performance boost quickly and easily; the more RAM you have the less reliant your CPU is on data in storage, meaning tasks can be executed faster. Samsung entered the computer manufacturing industry in 1983 and have since grown to become the world's largest memory chipmaker, as well as a renowned name in the technology sector.

    Utilise DDR2 Technology

    DDR2 memory offers a major performance improvement over DDR, increasing the prefetch length from 2 to 4 bits which doubles the rate at which data is transferred over the data bus. It also offers a drop in operating voltage from 2.5v to 1.9v-1.8v, markedly reducing the operating cost across multiple servers.

    Performance and Protection

    As well as featuring ECC (error-correcting code) which detects and corrects the most common kinds of internal data corruption, the pieces of memory that make up this Samsung server memory kit are also registered (also known as buffered) which encourages stability in the individual modules via the addition of a register between the DRAM modules, and therefore improves stability in the system as a whole.
