Techbuyer's Net Zero Pledge

Techbuyer has pledged to become a Net Zero organisation by 2050 with an interim target of achieving a 42% reduction by 2030 across Scope 1,2 and 3.

This is an ambitious target for an SMB, but one that we are confident in achieving and a goal that our whole team is behind. With the help of Plan A, we developed our pledge and started recording our baseline year.

What is Net Zero?

Net Zero is achieved when emissions are reduced as low as possible, with the remainder offset via carbon-capture schemes.

59 Countries – including the UK – have committed to reaching Net Zero (mostly by 2050) with another 69 countries working on similar plans. These legally binding pledges mean every organisation – regardless of its size – will also need to be Net Zero.

Net Zero Strategy

We’re charting our own path to Net Zero.

Our entire global team and combined departments have been essential in our journey so far!

Currently, we are reporting on our baseline year, however, climate action doesn’t wait! We have begun to make changes to our business operations to begin reducing our carbon footprint.

Steps We’ve taken:

  • Adopt Green Energy Supply
  • Environmental Training for Our Team
  • Allocated Energy Champions at Different Sites
  • Power Monitoring Equipment on Critical Circuits

We’ve also identified areas where we can make drastic changes over the next few months to accelerate our progress and start our journey strong.

These changes include removing our gas boiler, developing a sustainable travel policy and car sharing initiative, and consolidating our courier shipments.
