    The HP QMH2572 8Gb Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapter for BladeSystem c-Class

    The HP QMH2572 8Gb Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapter is a high-performance, PCI Express based Type A mezzanine card designed for use with Gen8 server blades. It is optimized for virtualization, low power usage, management, security, reliability, availability, and serviceability.

    Virtualization, Power, and Security

    This HBA is compatible with HP ProLiant Gen8 server blades for BladeSystem c-Class, and allows for multiple logical (virtual) connections to share the same physical port. Each logical connection has its own resources and can be managed independently. The QLogic StarPower technology ensures a power-efficient HBA, with features such as power and bandwidth optimized intelligent PCIe link training and low-power switching power supplies.

    Additionally, the HP QMH2572 offers SAN-level authentication, fabric-level isolation, and end-to-end data integrity. It supports authentication through FC-SP, data integrity through T10 CRC, and access control in virtualized environments.

    Backward Compatibility

    While providing leading-edge 8Gb performance, the HP QMH2572 is also backward compatible with 4Gb and 2Gb Fibre Channel speeds. This allows for seamless integration with existing infrastructure and the ability to upgrade to higher speeds in the future.
