The HPE ProLiant DL580 Gen9 server supports small form factor SAS hard drives as well as SAS SSD, SATA SSD and NVMe PCIe SSDs for enhanced speed. A maximum of 38.4TB of storage is available when the server is configured with 10x 3.84TB of SAS SSD or SATA SSDs. Hot swap hard drives minimise downtime by eradicating the need to power down a server when it comes to upgrading, cleaning or replacing hard drives.

Introduced in 2014, DDR4 is the most advanced memory format currently available. It delivers 50% more bandwidth than DDR3 and reduces running costs by being 40% more energy efficient than its predecessor, running at 1.2V-1.4V.
