On average we'll recycle 624 servers per month, this recovers approximately:

  • 6,864kg of steel
  • 1,248kg of circuit board plus 0.3g to 0.6 g of gold
  • 1,248kg of Plastics

What Happens to Your Recycled Servers?

Ferrous Metal

Sent direct to metal recycler which will likely to be recycled into building materials etc.

Circuit Board

Will be sent to various refineries to recover precious metals such as gold which can be turned into jewellery or be used in manufacturing of new parts.

Plastic

Will be sent to a plastic recycler who will remove contaminated plastics which cannot be recycled and those will be incinerated for energy production, and the remaining plastic polymers that can be recycled will be granulated and used for manufacturing of new parts.
