Techbuyer is Highly Commended at the CRN Tech Awards

Techbuyer has been highly commended by the CRN Tech Impact Awards in the Best Circular Economy category! The CRN Tech Awards are run by Incisive Media, a business to business digital media agency that provides events and informative articles on industry-leading news. Their inaugural awards take place yearly to celebrate the advancements of businesses within the technology sector, with a focus on how companies have helped improve the industry.

Techbuyer was shortlisted under the Best Circular Economy category and we were highly commended for our work within this area. The award in this category went to Re-Tek who impressed the judges with their investments in carbon reduction and avoidance, as well as their research into innovative electrochemical methods of recovering metals.

At Techbuyer we are dedicated to creating an effective circular economy for the IT industry. Through device lifespan extension processes and responsible technology disposal services, we aid the reduction of e-waste globally. We are also advocates for buying refurbished where IT hardware is concerned, encouraging our customers to purchase equipment that has been refurbished and configurated to a high level over choosing a new device; purchasing refurbished lessens the demand on critical raw materials and prevents valuable equipment from ending up in landfill.

Key Points:

  • Techbuyer was highly commended in the Best Circular Economy Company category, along with N2S and Procurri. All three companies were commended for their innovation in developing a circular economy.
  • The CRN Tech Awards celebrate the development and improvement of the IT industry, as well as the companies that help enact change in this sector.  The awards include categories on sustainability, inspirational transformation, non-profit organisation and social impact to help encourage the advancement of the technology industry.
