ESG Backlash and Sustainable Solutions

ESG is under scrutiny, and political pressures are forcing many to question their environmental alliances and goals. But this doesn’t need to mean an end to sustainable development, nor does it have to mean a slowing down of environmental initiatives.

In our recent article, published by Techerati, we explore just how sustainable products and solutions can become widely accepted and successful, despite the pressures that ESG currently faces.

In order for sustainable products to become popular and widely used, they have to meet the current needs of customers – whether that be affordability, performance or efficiency. By meeting these pain points, as well as offering an environmental benefit, sustainable solutions can become adopted on a large scale. Sustainability, therefore, must be an additional benefit to a viable solution to the customer’s needs.

Techbuyer’s Sustainable IT Solutions

At Techbuyer, building sustainable solutions that work is our bread and butter. But it wasn’t always the case – our journey began by developing expertise, extensive stock and reputation in refurbished technology.

Once we had a product that worked and met the needs of our clients, we were able to transition into sustainable services and solutions that not only worked for our customers but also added an environmental benefit that was communicated.

Now in our 20th year, Techbuyer is a leader in the sustainable IT sector, delivering environmental best practice across each of our services. With efficiency and cost-saving built in to each solution, as well as circular economy best practice, carbon reduction and waste management, we are able to meet the IT needs of our customers and promote sustainable development as a result.

Even now, the majority of our customers come to us for the cost-saving of refurbished, to remain compliant with their e-waste, or to find quality hardware that is hard to source. Sustainability is the added benefit that we can communicate to them
