Business to Business Warranty Policy

Version no: 1.0
Published: 1st May 2026

At Techbuyer, we take great pride in the quality, reliability, and performance of every Product we supply. Because of this, we treat all warranty claims with the utmost care and consideration. Our team is committed to ensuring that any issues are handled promptly, thoroughly, and with a focus on delivering the best possible outcome for our Customers.

This policy sets out the requirements that apply when a Customer wishes to submit a warranty claim for a Product. Where there is no material fault with the Product, the Customer should refer to the procedures contained in the Techbuyer Returns Policy

This policy applies to business to business sales transacted by Techbuyer. If your purchase was made in the capacity of a consumer please refer to the Conditions of Business for consumer sales and the related Techbuyer Warranty Policy [insert url].

New equipment sold to the Customer

For Products sold in brand new, boxed condition, Customers must refer to the manufacturer’s warranty for information on coverage and steps required to access that warranty.

Techbuyer’s policy is that all warranty commitments are personal to the original purchaser and are non-transferable unless expressly agreed with the Customer.

If the Customer is unable to locate the relevant manufacturer’s warranty information, they may contact our team at RMA@techbuyer.com and we will use reasonable endeavours to assist.

Validity Period of a Warranty

All Products are subject to a standard warranty period unless an extended warranty has been purchased (not available for on-line Orders). The applicable warranty period depends on the Product type and the Customer category – refer to the Conditions [insert url]to understand how these Product types and Customer categories are defined by Techbuyer.

Any warranty period shall be calculated from the actual delivery date of the Product(s). The delivery date shall be assumed to be the date agreed between Techbuyer and Techbuyer’s service provider unless the Customer provides evidence of a later actual delivery, which Techbuyer will consider reasonably.

Before initiating a warranty claim

If the Customer identifies an issue with a Product that they believe falls under Techbuyer’s warranty, we recommend contacting us for a technical consultation. This enables us to assist in diagnosing and resolving the issue where possible, or to confirm whether a warranty claim should be initiated.

We can be contacted via [XXX].

Each warranty claim includes 30 minutes of complimentary consultation time available during Techbuyer usual business hours limited to 9am to 6pm Monday to Friday and excluding Bank and Public holidays. Any additional time required beyond this allowance may be chargeable to the Customer at Techbuyer’s discretion, at a rate determined under the Techbuyer Rate Card available at [insert url].

If our IT specialists are unable to resolve the issue during the consultation, the Customer should proceed to initiate a warranty claim. Should Techbuyer subsequently accept the warranty claim following assessment of the Product, the consultation fees paid in respect of that Product will be refunded in full.

Initiating a Warranty Claim

To submit a warranty claim, the Customer must complete the Returns Form, available on the Techbuyer website here [insert link] before the applicable warranty period expires. Claims submitted outside of this period may not be accepted.

Once the form has been submitted, a member of our team will contact the Customer with a Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) Number and delivery address, after which the Product may be dispatched back to Techbuyer for assessment.

For the avoidance of doubt, Techbuyer’s assistance in facilitating dispatch does not constitute acceptance of the warranty claim. All risk of dispatching the Product is the responsibility of the Customer.

If there are any questions as to whether in any given circumstances a warranty claim is likely to be accepted by Techbuyer please contact us by emailing RMA@techbuyer.com. We will be happy to help.

Techbuyer will confirm receipt of the Product(s) by email to the address provided when the warranty claim was initiated.

Products are accepted subject to validation by Techbuyer of the warranty claim. Techbuyer aims to assess claims within ten (10) Business Days of receiving the Product(s) but may request further information, with the Customer should provide promptly to avoid delay.

How we confirm our agreement to the warranty claim

Upon the warranty claim being accepted, Techbuyer will confirm acceptance in writing to the email address provided at initiation of the claim. Techbuyer will then:

  • accept liability for reasonable carriage costs incurred by Customer in returning the Product(s), subject to satisfactory evidence (excluding internal labour or resource costs of the Customer);
  • refund the cost of the consultation fee charged; and
  • notify the Customer of the remedy to be provided, which may be:
    • repair of the Product where feasible;
    • replacement with the same Product or one of equivalent specification; or
    • provide a credit note for the original purchase price together with reasonable carriage costs covering your return to Techbuyer.

When we regard a warranty claim as invalid

Please also refer to clause 11 of the Conditions[insert url]

Warranty claims are excluded where:

  • The Product has been improperly installed or configured;
  • The Product has been used outside recommended environmental conditions (including but not limited to temperature, humidity and voltage);
  • The Product has been modified or altered from its original manufacturer specification;
  • Damage is cosmetic and does not affect functionality;
  • Serial numbers have been removed or tampered with;
  • The Customer cannot prove that the Product was purchased from Techbuyer;

If we consider a warranty claim invalid

We will notify you following the conclusion of our validation process to confirm whether or not the warranty claim is accepted. Should it not be accepted we will assist you in securing the return of the Product that was the subject of the claim. We reserve the right to charge a return fee to cover the costs of carriage (including insurance) and will provide you with a quotation and request your confirmation of acceptance and payment against an invoice that will on your acceptance be processed and provided to you by email.

Should the Customer decline to have the Product returned or fail to respond to our notification of the costs for returning the Product within a period of [one] month this shall be taken as an authorisation that Techbuyer may dispose of the Product as it considers appropriate. Techbuyer has a policy of donating to charity any proceeds of sale raised through the disposal of a Product in accordance with this provision of the policy.

Should Techbuyer receive any item sent in error by the Customer and not a Product supplied by Techbuyer see the Techbuyer Return Policy which explains how we deal with such circumstances.

When we have put matters right and returned a Product to you.

Following repair or replacement, the Product will continue to benefit from the remaining period of the original warranty. Replacement Products are also subject to the same remaining original warranty period.
