DRR2 utilises both speed and efficiency, increasing the prefetch rate of its predecessor from 2 to 4 bits. The DDR2 features an ECC which observes and corrects the most frequent types of internal data errors. There is also a register that fixes the RAM modules into a stable position, giving the CPU easy access to the data that it requires.
