Techbuyer Feature in Parliamentary Review for a Second Year

Techbuyer appears alongside Prime Minister Theresa May in The Parliamentary Review – a publication which aims to raise standards by showcasing best practice to the UK’s leading officials.

This marks the second year that we have been chosen as a representative of the UK’s technology sector in the influential Parliamentary Review in recognition of our growth within the industry and our position as a global leader in our specific field – the buying, refurbishing and resale of data centre equipment.

Techbuyer features alongside a small number of exceptional organisations in a document that looks back on the year in the Technology sector, specifically, Hardware, Networking and Infrastructure.

The Parliamentary Review is sent to over half a million policymakers, business stakeholders and other relevant and noteworthy individuals. The articles in the Review act as both a blueprint for success and a learning tool to the public and private sector.

The Prime Minister commented “I believe that Britain can look to the future with confidence. We are leaving the EU and setting a new course for prosperity as a global trading nation.”. Last year, over 57% of our sales shipped internationally and having our main distribution centre in North Yorkshire has been great for national and international trade. We also have sites in Germany, USA and New Zealand.

Julian David, CEO of TechUK said “The UK tech industry is growing 2.5 times faster than the rest of the economy and our nation is a global digital leader. As the economy digitises further, we urgently need to invest in the domestic talent pipeline to thrive.” In the last three years, Techbuyer has increased our staff by almost 200% and we firmly believe are exceptional staff are the reason we have been named as one of the Top 50 Fastest Growing Tech Companies in the North.

The Parliamentary Review will be sent to over half a million directors, CEOs and those in positions of leadership. Kevin Towers, Techbuyer Managing Director said of the company’s inclusion:

“I am extremely proud of our second inclusion in The Parliamentary Review, which reflects the hard work and dedication shown by all of our staff worldwide. In the past 12 months, we have worked with academics, accreditation bodies and trade organisations to bring reuse into the mainstream of corporate thinking.”

Each year the release of The Parliamentary Review is marked with a reception at the Palace of Westminster for all the best practice representatives who participate in the publication. We look forward to attending in October and meeting with other featured businesses.
