Techbuyer’s ITAD Service becomes ADISA Accredited
We are pleased to announce that Techbuyer's ITAD service has passed the stringent ADISA requirements with Merit!
Our ITAD (Information Technology Asset Disposition) service has been conducted to ADISA (Asset Disposal and Information Security Alliance) standards for some time now, but only recently had a certified auditor visit our UK facility to check our work against the extremely strict ADISA standards.
What is ADISA?
ADISA (Asset Disposal and Information Security Alliance) is an industry accreditation scheme for companies who provide IT Asset Disposal services. The audit process is multi-layered including full audits, unannounced operational audits and forensic audits. This approach ensures ADISA certified companies continuously maintain the highest standards. Please visit our ITAD page for more information.
What does ADISA certification mean for our customers?
Commenting on the recent ADISA certification, Techbuyer’s Head of ITAD, Danny McShane said that “There are over 600 companies who offer ITAD services in the UK, but only 40 of them have passed the strict ADISA audits which include 112 essential criteria before ADISA award companies with a pass mark. Techbuyer passing with merit also means we have passed many of the 80 further criteria which are classed as desirable.”
ADISA certification means that our customers can be completely confident in Techbuyer’s ability to provide a safe and secure IT asset disposition service. During our ITAD process, vehicles are GPS tracked at all times, thorough asset registers are signed off, all data-bearing assets have their data erased and our secure site is kept behind locked gates with 24 hour CCTV.
Why choose Techbuyer for your ITAD services?
Safe and Secure
As well as being an ADISA certified company, Techbuyer is also ISO 27001 accredited. The ISO 27001 standard provides a framework for information security management best practice that helps us protect client and employee information at all stages in the business life cycle. We use WhiteCanyon data erasure software which uses military-grade erasure technology to securely and permanently erase all data from hard drives. WhiteCanyon software makes it impossible to recover any of the data, whereas it is still possible to reform data from a shredded, damaged or even melted hard drive!
We can support you to achieve your CSR goals, whilst ensuring the secure and responsible destruction of your data. By selling your redundant IT hardware to us instead of sending it to landfill, you are helping the environment by reducing the destruction of finite resources. We fully erase data, refurbish and test as much of the equipment you sell to us, ensuring it can be put back into circulation as a cost-effective IT solution. This prevents equipment from going to landfill and minimises the requirement for raw materials needed to manufacture new hardware.
Maximise Asset Value
Techbuyer can pay you to dispose of your IT hardware, rather than charge you as some companies do. We deal directly with you and the equipment we buy is stocked directly into our engineering facilities across the world, which cuts out the middle man and ensures you can get the best prices for your redundant, excess or used equipment.
Techbuyer has been securely sanitising data bearing assets for over 14 years without incident. We erase over 10,000 hard drives every month and, with the support of five state-of-the-art robots, test and sort of 15,000 memory modules every week. Our highly knowledgeable staff regularly go on courses to stay on track with the latest industry best practices such as CompTIA+, ADISA technical training and certified data centre professional. With a 99% 5-star rating from over 500 reviews, you can trust Techbuyer and our employees to safely and securely handle your ITAD requirements.
