Giving Homeless Young People a Future: Techbuyer’s 2019 Christmas Jumper Day

‘Tis the season for cheesy, traditional, so-bad-it’s-good, and just plain ugly Christmas knitwear…. Or at least it is at Techbuyer. Today, employees across all our offices have rocked up in their favourite festive jumpers for our very own Christmas Jumper Day.

This year we are raising money for Centrepoint, which is a charity that supports homeless young people. Living without a safe place to sleep has a range of negative impacts including regularly missing meals, experiencing poor mental and physical health, disrupted education or employment, and even being exposed to violence and abuse.

Centrepoint helps young adults in this situation by providing accommodation, psychological and health support as well as educational opportunities. They also undertake research and campaigning in order to change systems and policies that influence homelessness.

22,000 young people in the UK are facing homelessness this Christmas, which is a shocking statistic that shows just how widespread the issue is. If you would like to help us support this worthy cause, you can donate to our JustGiving page, and check out Centrepoint’s The 22,000 campaign.

Thank you for all your support this year, and Merry Christmas!
